You clicked on this link for a reason and we're going to help you! In effort to not waste more time, let's get into these 5 tips for optimal time optimization:
Tip #1 - Focus on the goal.. then the time will follow.
It's easy to let time overwhelm you, so create a system that puts your purpose first. We recommend using the RPM system. RPM is a system developed by Tony Robbins that involves a three step process to achieve your goals: writing them down, chunking your time, and blocks that contain a plan for reaching your goal.
R - Result
What do I really want?
P - Purpose
Why do you want it?
M - Massive Action Plan
What's my massive action plan?
Tip #2 - Keep a list and check it twice.
Make a list of everything you need to do. along with anything else that needs to get done like administrative tasks, meetings, and household chores. Right now, the order doesn’t matter. You just need to get these items out of your head and place them in a notebook or sheet of paper. You could also use digital tools like Evernote and Notability. The notes section in the iPhone works wonders.
“The only thing that’s keeping you from getting what you want is the story you keep telling yourself.”– Tony Robbins
Tip #3 - Make it a date.
For some of you, you may end up having a lengthy list. Don’t worry about it, we're taking dominion one goal at a time.
Go through your list and begin trimming the fat by arranging your list by date-specific responsibilities. Examples of this may include:
Deadlines
Due dates
Must have's
Events
Also, it may be helpful to indicate what important actions need your immediate attention through a smiley face, flourish, highlighter, etc.
Do You Own A Physical Planner?
- No.
- Yes.
- I should probably get one.
Tip #4 - Cut It. Cut It. Cut It.
If there is something that you need to do, but it’s not urgent, schedule it for later. If there is something that you don't want to do, introverts will understand this, then delete it. 2023 is such a pivotal year, and you don't need to spend time entertaining things that do not align with your goals.

Additionally, if there are items that could be delegated or outsourced, then assign them to someone else. If you feel uneasy about assigning tasks to individuals, then one of your goals should be to equip them!
Tip #5 - Take a minute. Actually 18 Minutes.
Peter Bregman, author of 18 Minutes: Find Your Focus, Master Distraction, and Get the Right Things Done, is responsible for the 18 minute approach. Honestly, it's a daily ritual that will help you remain focused on your priorities throughout the day.
Step 1. Before doing anything, start your day by spending five minutes mapping out your day. I suggest doing this after prayer and meditation. Check out "Unforced Rhythms of Grace" for your meditation time by clicking the link below.
Step 2. Check-in every hour for just a minute to help put your back-on-track. This is why you need a list!
Step 3. At the end of the day, take five minutes to review what worked, as well as when you get distracted. Don’t forget to take note of when you had the most focus.
After all....
Time is of the essence. Let's make a resolve to honor God with our time. This is the year of dominion, let's take it by force!.
