6 Opt-in Freebie Ideas

Who doesn't love free stuff?

As a entrepreneur, I realize how much my email list really matters. The easiest way to market it is by sending something to your email list–a newsletter, a promotion, or just a mention. Trust me, they’ll be the ones to purchase from you before anybody else does.

You don't want to be annoying, you have to email people with purpose. If you offer a freebie, make sure that it's something that your readers can use and benefit from or learn from. The catch is, however, that you need to offer the right freebies. Because not everything is for everyone.

I created a self-care checklist that was downloaded over 2,000 times. Those downloads turned into leads and those leads turned into consultations and those consultations turned into revenue. Do you follow my drift?

Checklists are one of the easiest things to make. You can create a checklist out of anything almost. Make sure the checklist is relevant to the content that you produce. As it relates to designing your checklist, these helpful tips will guide you:

- If the freebie is longer than a few pages or subdivided into multiple sections, then you should definitely have a cover page.

- Add a footer to the bottom of the page, especially because you should want to protect your intellectual property.

- Checkboxes are great if your list contains actionable items or items your readers can check off once a task is completed. For other types of lists, just a numbered list may be sufficient. You can go outside of the box as long as it fits your brand.

2. PDF Guides

I love using PDF guides as freebies. Here's a suggestion: you can use book chapters from a book you've already written. Ideally, such a guide will have a cover page, a back cover page, and then the in-between content pages. You can also create E-books from templates. Make sure that they are colorful, well written and of course, useful.

3. Quizzes

Quizzes are engaging and fun! They are easily converted into leads and also they help you gain knowledge about your customer base. Quizzes are time consuming, but they are worth it as it relates to the establishment of your brand.

4. Worksheets

I love life hack worksheets. There's a fine line between worksheets and cheatsheets, but it's all based on content. Remember, people love believing that they being given information to help them in life!

5. Webinars

Webinars have been such a joy to create! If you're not comfortable in front of the camera, it's completely ok! But at least try to engage in creating videos as a freebie that will convert into a lead.

6. Planners

Everybody loves a planner and the wave of the future is the digital planner! No matter what your niche is, chances are that you can make a planner out of any of them.
